Senior IPS officer and DGP Ramachandra Rao appeared before the inquiry committee about alleged protocol misuse in a gold smuggling case involving his daughter. Rao provided his statement which will be reviewed by the government soon. The bail hearings for Ranya Rao and the second accused have been adjourned.
