Chamoli disaster: Rescue operations continue for 6th consecutive day

After the glacier burst incident, the rescue operations continued at Tapovan tunnel in Chamoli district on the sixth consecutive day.

According to Uttarakhand Government, out of the 204 missing persons, 36 bodies have been recovered while 168 persons are still missing.

NDRF Commandant PK Tiwary said, "Our teams are continuously searching for bodies.

A team has also been deployed to search for bodies along the river.

All agencies involved in rescue operations are working round the clock." A flash flood triggered due to glacier burst on Feb 07 in the district.
