TMC demands high-level probe from EC in alleged attack on Mamata Banerjee

TMC has demanded a high-level probe from the Election Commission of India into the alleged attack on Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram on March 10, said party leader Saugata Roy who also claimed that the alleged attack was part of a "deep rooted conspiracy".

"We have demanded a high-level probe into attack on Mamata Banerjee at Nandigram.

When incident happened, there was no police presence there.

The events leading up to the attempt on her life, leave no doubt, that the attack was part of deep rooted conspiracy," said Roy.
