On Thursday, commuters heading from Delhi to Noida found themselves in a nightmarish situation as they encountered extensive traffic congestion along the route.
The gridlock stemmed from imposed restrictions at the Delhi-Noida border due to ongoing protests by farmers, who were planning a march to Parliament to assert their demands.
The resultant traffic snarl left hundreds of vehicles stranded at the border during the Thursday morning rush hour.
Reports indicated a significant buildup of two-wheelers and four-wheelers trapped in the jam, particularly at Sarita Vihar, with heavy congestion also observed along the Delhi-to-Noida route.
In an exclusive interview with OneIndia, CP Yogeshwar, the newly elected leader, expressed his gratitude for the media’s coverage of the recent elections. He also emphasised the role of D.K. Shivakumar, Congress' Deputy Chief Minister, in strengthening leadership and supporting the region’s development post-election. Yogeshwar vowed to continue working for the well-being of his people while acknowledging the rejection of family-based politics by the electorate.
