Sir Keir Starmer said the UK must "double down" it's support for Ukraine after returning from the G20 summit in Brazil.
Addressing the House of Commons on Thursday, the prime minister said it "could not be more clear" that "this is a man that wants destruction, not peace".
"After 1,000 days of war, I am clear that we must double down in our support.
We will not be deterred or distracted by reckless threats," he added.

In this video, we explore President Donald Trump's recent suggestion that Ukraine provide the United States with rare earth minerals as "payment" for the $300 billion in financial aid provided for the war against Russia. Trump emphasized the importance of critical minerals like lithium and titanium, which are essential for technology and defense. With the U.S. having limited rare earth production capacity, Trump proposes an "equalization" deal with Ukraine to secure both foreign aid and essential resources. Watch the full analysis of this proposal and its implications for both countries.

Senior Tory MP Sir David Davis has said that "new medical evidence" analysed by a medical expert panel could provide a "completely alternative explanation" for the death of seven babies. This comes as retired medic Dr Shoo Lee, who co-authored a 1989 academic paper on air embolism in babies – which featured prominently in Lucy Letby’s 10-month trial, chaired a panel of 14 experts who compiled an “impartial evidence-based report”, which casts doubt on some of the medical evidence used in the trial.

Dr Shoo Lee, neonatal expert, and Mark McDonald, barrister, speaking at a presser presenting new evidence from neonatal experts which has casted doubt on some of Lucy Letby's convictions for murder and attempted murder. Dr Lee has said there was no medical evidence of murder and that the medical evidence used to convict her was wrong. Mr McDonald followed this up saying that if the evidence used to convict Letby was indeed incorrect, her conviction is "unsafe" and "no crime was committed".
