Croatian presidential election: Milanović faces tough battle for second term
The incumbent president, touted as the most popular politician in the Adriatic country, has been widely criticised for his populist views, including his opposition to the EU's support of Ukraine.
Milanović won more than 74% of the vote compared to his challenger Dragan Primorac, who received nearly 26%, according to results released by the state election authorities after more than 99% of the ballots were counted.
