The Delhi high court stated that one cannot object to the use of defence officers and civil servants to promote government schemes without the use of a political party's name or political insignia. This remark was made during a PIL hearing against the use of defence officers and civil servants for political propaganda. The petitioners challenged an order by the Controller General of Defence Accounts to showcase ministry of defence works and an office memorandum to showcase the Centre's achievements. The court will continue hearing the matter on January 30.
