Odisha supplies nearly 1,700 metric ton oxygen to other states
Amid the shortage of medical Oxygen in several parts of country, Odisha has offered a helping hand by transporting over 1,676 metric ton Oxygen to states including Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Haryana.
Escorted by Odisha Police, 60 metric ton oxygen was seen being left for Tamil Nadu on April 27.
Odisha ADG (Law and Order) said, "Since last 5 days, Odisha Police has formed a special cell and a dedicated corridor has been set on the directions of Chief Minister of Odisha.
Medical Oxygen is being transported, loaded and moved throughout the state to needing states under the direct supervision of this special cell."
